The UnCut

here you go, sir

A few things...

I have been selected as an MUSC PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLAR. I'm proud. I had to write a paper and get a letter of recommendation for it. It is pretty competitive given that every year of every school (dental, medical, health professions, nursing, etc) are open to apply for it. There is a dinner next week for this year's scholar to present on what they've done, which I will attend. I don't actually know any other current scholars or the most recently selected for next year.

I got a job (phone) interview today for National Youth Leadership Forum. It it goes well, I might be seeing some of you this summer in ATL! No joke, the program will literally having me living in a dorm on Emory's campus (hopefully Clairmont). If that happens, you know what's up. Good times, good memories, whatever.

I learned this week that Psychiatry is actually not the most difficult field to go into (academic wise) whereas ENT is damn ridiculous...basically, make all A's...get selected into AOA....do research. I'm not too interested in the latter so I have to try and find something that fits what I'm interested in. I'll get into that this summer b/c that's the time to fit in research. This time next year will be all about taking my BOARDS.

(this girl just did like the most annoying sneezes I've ever heard)

A mixtape is in the work. Track instrumentals and ideas are welcome. It will be better than the 1st (hard not to be...no offense to myself).

This trip to Africa might work, got to have some faith. I'm getting a lot of fundraising help back home and from some very very surprising supporters. I'll take it as a sign that I'm really supposed to be on this trip. I do a specific post about what the trip to Africa is and why I want to participate.

Givi, if you don't mind, please add a pic of your choosing to my post, sir.

and.......wait, I forgot to say that I'm deeply saddened to see that Duke won the championship. Maybe their flight will crash on the way back to Durham, NC. I know that means but I just don't like Duke.

ok, cut!

Janelle Monae Tightrope ft. Big Boi

I ♥ Janelle!

Treize and Truth

WTP and the birth of TREIZE One Year Later............................

To think, all this started one high ass night in college with TRIVI insisting I join the blog...I remember I was supposed to review the Kanye CD, 808's I believe......lol......couldn't get out a word for weeks....

Then there were the infamous vids---the 360 in the dorm room, Barack's election, some of the best freestyle vids eva made ya dig!!!  *Diss Tracks and DJ G lol*

Then the musik----A bunch of hot trackz lurkin on the net somewhere---Put U On the Met is officially a classic in my eyes---the experience of putting that track together, fuckin' around during graduation activities and really just being creative because we could---easily the most rewarding experience of that period

Treize and Truth----the writings that are my life at a time when my life was a bunch of things

I cannot deny if it wasn't for WTP, I wouldn't have the real world connection I need to function regularly. What do I mean? WTP is Music, Expression, Truth, a literal "Hidden Soul" and inspiration and motivation to create. Create anything. Hope for anything. See the world as a place without limits. That is what this blog and the WTP fam do for me. I may not write or give feedback as often as I'd like, but you'd better believe I've seen EVERY SINGLE POST--no lie---you're talking about someone who can't read a few pages of a book without his attention shifting to something else lol

And of course, I'm rollin with some of the coolest people ever---If there was any question, it's WTP 4 LIFE

the Hidden Post

How you gonna get on skype, be online and then complain about trying to watch a movie?!
you're on skype, people are supposed to write something to you. that's why you added them in the first place. This dude has a status message saying he's trying to watch a movie. :D
I think that's funny and a good reason to do the hidden one.

This girl is so adorable

lol. singing one of my favorite Kid Cudi songs. ♥

Shawn Chrystopher - No Snitchin

Graffiti Stop Motion

This video is amazing. Very creative. The drawings are great.

this is awesome

GRANITE STATE OF MIND

This is hilarious. I think the actual song is very overrated and to hear this... ooooh, I like this one more.

DOOM-Gazzillion Ear (Thom Yorke Remix)

This isn't new but I don't think I have posted it. I like the original more. Thom Yorke's production is weird but so is DOOM's flow so I think it's a great combination...

Free Flowin Fridayz (Week 53)

I am soooo exhausted with only more tiredness and exhaustion to look forward to. *sigh* Sound familiar guys? Kinda like that long and painful stretch we always had to deal with right before finals? Yep. Kinda same for me except worse.

Best thing is that my entire family has gone up to NJ for the week so I am trying to take advantage of full access to the car and a quiet house so I can cram :/
We shall see how that goes. So far, not so good...

Not sure if I've mentioned this before, but on Ash Wednesday I decided to give up soda for Lent.
Yes, I know I'm not Christian, but a few of my friends have tried to fast for a day or so during Ramadan with me and many people did it at Emory for the yearly MSA Fast-a-thon. So I've always wanted to do the same with other holidays.
I have been trying to give something up for Lent for years now, but I've failed. This year however, I set my mind to it and so far so good. I have been without soda for about 6 weeks now.
For those of you, like TRIVI, who know how I tend to like using the caffeine in soda (especially Mountain Dew) you know how much of a "WHOA" factor this is. It hasn't been easy, but not particularly unmanageable either. I plan to go back to some level of soda drinking beginning Monday just because I need that extra caffeine push to get through April, but after that probably not going to drink it soooo much. Or at least if I do I'll have to make sure I drink a lot of milk and water.

Still though it's kinda cool seeing how long I've been without it and how many times I've really wanted/needed it. I'm not an addict by any means, but I like my Mountain Dew!

I leave you with this quote from my teabag today:
