The Uncut

Unfortunately, I am back at school as I type this. Doing a practice quiz on Blackboard on my other internet tab, actually. Thanksgiving really makes you just want to stay home but I still got a few more weeks to go.
So the family is doing good. We are all making mom proud. Speaking of mom, she asks about G and Igor......I tell her the truth (not going to continue with the joke in my head). Since I don't seem to have a lot of words....

I am going to steal a little bit from Mr. Hidden this week (I hope he doesn't mind).

I watched, laughed, & listened to the following over the (short) break with the family:
I liked the movie. You can tell that the author of the book (now a movie) did a lot of research & wasn't scared to shed light on some of the (scary) history of the (powerful) Catholic Church and Illuminati.
M. Night Shyamalan will probably never do a movie better than his 1st....which was Sixth Sense.
Still, I like his creative stories and think all his movies have been good. People should stop comparing everything he does with the aforementioned movie. Let each story be its own. I liked this one.

LOL at this!

A good song and a good video to match it.
Almost time for bed cause I want to be rested to start this week which appears as though it will be packed. Hopefully I can meet with the guy about doing research over the summer!

Lupe Fiasco

I'll do the register, you just get them fries right
I don't trust America, after watchin' Zeitgeist
Take a look at my stripes, chest looks like a tiger arm
and I'm hot as tiger balm, fire like a five-alarm
And it's set onto ya barn, Get ya fire-fighter on....

I ain't worried 'bout you hoes (hose), I don't even need to roll
I turn down your ex like how you put your tires on
Once I get these tires on, I buy a bomb and tie it on
And ride this around the entire song, find a line to drive it on
Park it near a metaphor, wait for it, the timer's on
You can turn your hydrants on, I'll just turn my wipers on
Wipe it off then wipe me down but don't forget about my bomb!

Pieces of Me

this is my first individual post...everyone get excited =) i apologize once again for being so m.i.a. i still havent gotten the virus off of my computer, but i will eventually. i just had to come through to wish my WTF a happy thanksgiving & to let you all know how grateful i am to have you in my life. i miss you! are we still doin the miami trip for christmas? i havent heard anything about it lately...

everything is going well with me. im home until sunday for thanksgiving so im very happy. im going to work tomorrow to get a little extra money. do you get time-and-a-half for black friday? that would be great! i used to have a bad habit of spending way too much. ive been working on it & im doing much better with saving so im proud of myself!

school is school. classes are okay but the end of the semester is creeping up on me so i need to buckle down and get on studying and papers and such. im taking politics of identity (ids 213), which i heard was an interesting/easy class, but the professor i got turned it into crap. first, he formatted it like a philosophy class and had us reading nothing but philosophers who pondered the meaning of being vs existing and the like up until about a week ago. i already hate philosophy bc i dont care about what could be or what this might mean or whether or not i exist, but to make it worse, he keeps telling me that ive interpreted the philosophers' writings incorrectly, so thats why im not making a's on my papers. excuse me? did this man who passed long before you were ever thought of come to you and tell you exactly what he meant when he wrote this piece? i doubt it. great.

on another note, delta is wonderful. im co-programming chair and co-stepmistress for the chapter this year. we've had rather successful programs so far, and we just won the stroll competition last friday, which was pretty exciting =) alex and yasmin are in atlanta for thanksgiving so i was able to have dinner the other night with all of the sixes back to spr 03. it was amazing! we went to twist, and while we were there we saw all of these camera men around this one secluded table near the back of the restaurant, so i went to ask what was going on. it turns out they were filming for tiny & toya, the atrocity...i mean reality show...on bet. reality shows are so far from reality its not even funny. as they wrap up the scene, we see these people taking down the christmas tree that they had apparently set up behind the table. they also took down this elegant lamp that they had hung over the table (nowhere in the restaurant was there a lamp that looked even remotely similar), and the two poor no-name girls who were eating with tiny & toya had to go out the front while they were escorted out the back. if you happen to see whatever episode where they're eating at twist around christmas time, just know it was actually done before thanksgiving.

i know my post is kinda random, but thats me =)

random: travis vincent meadows, i called you on your birthday & have yet to receive a callback. fix it asap. thanks (im good at calling people out too lol)

The UnCut

I am happy to visit my home this week due to the upcoming T-giving holiday. I'm so thankful! I am like one of the few people who haven't went home so far this semester....I guess that it just how I do things. Just me staying focus, I know family is there.

As for school, I am on top of everything except Anatomy Lab. I enjoy the dissection but I am not good at the memorization aspect of it. Why can't everything be pinned on Johnny Gill??? It is pretty cool to hold a heart in your hand....then drop it on the floor (by accident). I wonder if you guys would visit the anatomy lab if given the chance to do so?

I have become very interested in Cardiology all of a sudden. I am going to apply for this very competitive summer internship and we will see how it goes. It is about that time to start thinking what I wish to do over the summer. My requirements are as follows: research experience + some money for living expenses. Yeah, that's all!

So Geden is going to be in ATL this week....I wonder will he give a call to some of his WTF?? I'm good at calling people out :-) More room for me now as I hit up MIA for 2 days before visiting home.

What are you guys hoping to get for Xmas? Have happen this T-giving? Looking to close the year with?

To Be Answered

1. So the holiday season is upon us.....what are you doing for it? what are you planning on doing to celebrate and enjoy it?

2. The WTP birthday season came & went very swiftly, were you able to be on time with your "Happy Birthday" wishes to everyone?

3. The rap group Felt (Slug & Murs) are know for dedication their albums to female celebrities. If you & I were a rap group, who would you want to dedicate our 1st album to?

4. So you do not define levels of friendship. Can you offer us your perspective on friendship?
Like, how you choose friends? How a person gets your trust?

5. What's your favorite song to listen to right now?

Song of the Day

I've been going through some music on my computer. This song got left on repeat today.

Free Flowin Fridayz (Week 34)

I need a vacation. My own island or a condo I can stay at for a month or so...
That would be amazing. So my thoughts are all over the place. I need a break. I want to see a movie. I want to sleep. I need an out. *sigh* Therefore I will share something I wrote a while back for my Medical Anthro class 2 years ago. It deals with a book called "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down." I think it is quite appropriate with all of the health care stuff going on.

STIGMA

the Hidden Post

Something is wrong with my laptop; the screen to be exact. I might be missing on on the blog, skype and FB unless I get a minute at work like right now. With all the things going on, I'm not sure when I can take it to be fixed. My PC is messed up, too. Damn... time for a new one. *waiting for a paycheck*

The Uncut

So I guess this is a day early? I can't predict tomorrow's schedule so let me do it now.

Congratulations to Mr. Campbell...been a long time coming for that young man.

I miss Atlanta a little but I'm happy that I got so much going on in Charleston. Plus, a good friend comes to visit every now & then. Very happy to know that what I set out to do last weekend was literally accomplished. I have video that will eventually surface to prove it!

I am trying really hard to stay on top of everything in this final block of the semester. The 2nd test really....challenged some people. Now some people have to work even harder (if possible) to make sure that they are here when next semester starts. I will try to put myself out there as a resource for anyone...humble style :-)

So I heard from G that he's crossing over when it comes to certain relationship types. Ooooh, G, well at least you know she will be smart. I am very motivated to right some music right now, just need to find the time (I know its there). Plus, G signed on to host...although it will be a little different than last time. I see that Givi is moving. Maybe next time I will be able to convince him to move over to the States (US), how else will I be his doctor? I learned last weekend that I like to "poke" people now! So, if I poke you, just know it has to do with me learning so much with anatomy and what not.

I got to go! Givi, can you be so kind as to add my weekly pic, sir?

Free Flowin Fridayz (Week 33)-Sunday Edition

My fortune cookie today said
"SAIL INTO THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITY -- TREASURES AWAIT"

If only I could find my boat to set sail on or better yet find the correct course...Actually the quote reminds me of Pirates Of the Caribbean or Treasure Island :)

Anyway...This Saturday another pleasant, UNEXPECTED, surprise greeted me in the form of our precious FSUer DJ G. He didn't exactly spontaneously show up in Jacksonville like TRIVI and Igor did, but he was in town and let me know (a bit late of course and I didn't believe him until he sent me a picture of the Jacksonville Landing...). So we tried to meet up. Of course with G and his sense of direction...we didn't exactly end up meeting where I thought we would (I could have been more specific, but oh well)... I finally found the Chilis he was at in the end! I got in a good 15min or so. Of course not as much Dr. G time as I would like, but it was better than nothing. Never in my life did I ever think I would get visitors while I am cooped up in Jax. But I guess it is things like this that show you the depth of friendship you have with certain people.

I'm not sure how big the smile was on my face when I saw each of these 3 wonderful gentlemen these past 2 Saturdays. I guess that is a question to ask them as I would like to know how I looked when I saw them. I do know that I was the happiest I've been in a long time these past 2 Saturdays. All I can say to that is THANK YOU.

This pic is not worth a 1000 words, just two: picture perfect

Free Flowin Fridayz (Week 32)-Monday edition

If you have not yet seen the most recent "Takin it back..." you BETTER GET ON IT NOW!!!!!! Capeche? Here is the link

There is a bit of Michael Jackson with Carlton Banks in the mix. I want to know what you think about the commercials!!! They are great!

So my Free Flow hasn't really been on time lately, but I've been a bit preoccupied trying to write essays for this summer program I am in love with. Of course I don't want to get too attached because if I don't get it I don't want to be crushed...but I spent sooo many hours working on 2 400 word each essays...Lucky for me I had a absolutely SHOCKING surprise waiting for me on Saturday.

I never would have thought anyone would see Jacksonville as being a 'wow' city or cool by any stretch of the imagination, but apparently I was "holding out" on the WTF. By all means Jax is no Miami or Orlando...but 2 people seemed to enjoy it this weekend.

Our own beloved TRIVI and IGZ decided to stop by Jacksonville, FL for a surprise visit! What did I just say? Yes it's true, they came from Atlanta and Charleston to Jax to visit me! Talk about unexpected visitors!

Don't get me wrong I LOOOVE surprises, but with me, my family and my random schedule you gotta give me some idea you REALLY are stopping by...but I think I might have learned the new code this weekend. Never say your free unless you REALLY mean it cuz the the Unwavering..does NOT waver! He means what he says and he says what he means...so let me tell you never take his words lightly. He says he thinks he's gonna visit you...apparetntly he means it so be ready!

They couldn't have picked a better weekend to come! The Blue Angels were in town for the "Week of Valor" in honor of Veterans day weekend. There were performances, food, freebies and lots of military people. So they came to my house, we chatted a bit then took off to the beaches to check out the fun. Then we ate at Joe's Crab Shack, made a trip to Krispy Kreme, and then went and saw Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant with my little brother and sister and 2 of my freinds (I think we all enjoyed the movie). I had to take my brother and sister home and since it was my dad's birthday we had to do b-day things..so I went home. But before leaving I sent the boys downtown to the Jacksonville Landing! There should've been some fun stuff going on there, but we'll have to wait for one of them to post to let us know what they did there.

The boys took more pics than me since all 3 of us had cameras...so keep an eye out here and/or on facebook for photos and videos! Ohh I think this calls for a ~*Princess Chronicles*~
Givi, got a picture ready to debut for that yet?

Saturday=The best day of my live since I left Atlanta.

I guess the verdict is, if I can't come to you, you come to me! Just let me know in advance...even if it is indirectly ;)

So who's next?

the Hidden Weekly

10.26.09-11.08.09

the blog had some issues last week. I'm gonna post this time. Last week was pretty good. some of the difficulties at work finally came to an end which is great. I haven't really met up with anyone that week except for Halloween. You've probably seen the pictures. It was a fun night, I had a great time but a friend really disappointed me later on. Had to deal with that.
A lot of skype chatting going on, many emails have exchanged. Feels great to catch up with WTF and actually hear some of you. shout out to Geden. It was Geden's birthday last week and Travis' this week which means it had to be a great time period and it really was (who cares about minor bumps on the road).

I got this for Yaz.

an old Pepsi logo on top of some corner store in Tbilisi. It will probably get taken down soon, cause they were renovating. This is random but cool to stumble upon.

I've been writing a lot. "...Some good stuff and a lot of nonsense but I enjoy the process...".I wish I had more time and desire to do stuff. I got a little indifferent.

I'm also moving. Everything is finalized and now I'm in the middle of moving boxes from Tskneti to Tbilisi then from one apartment to another. I've moved a few times and I hate the process but it's definitely for the better and I'll gladly move those boxes.

This Monday was a little weird. My boss was out of town. We had nice dinner at work and decided to involve some alcohol. I was sleepless from the night before and became even sleepier. Later that day I met up with my friends to take the costumes back to where we rented them from. Then I ended up at my friend's house and had a few more drinks. Then my dad and I had a meeting with someone. The rest of the week I just stayed in and watched movies.

Yesterday I went to the movies and then spent about 2 hours at Macdonald's... just talking and listening to music they played.

I went to Tskenti today and took some pictures

my name written on the fence. That was years ago. 10, maybe more.

not my dog.

Movies That I Watched

Pan's Labyrinth.

Great Movies. IMDB

Hangover

stupid comedy. It's not as good as people told me it was. It was bearable though. I smiled a few times. IMDB

He's Just Not That Into You

Some more stupidity here. I downloaded and watched it because of Scarlett Johansson. IMDB

Mary and Max

The best thing I've watched in a long while. Great, great work. Every detail is perfect, the storyline is great, dialogues, narration... each scene is a peace of art. I found it absolutely amazing and definitely recommend it. Watch it whenever you get a chance. IMDB

Gagma Napiri (the Other Bank or the Other Side of the River)

I went to the movies to see this one. It's a good movie. the cast could be a lot better. I think only the main character fits the role. Very talented kid. IMDB
