Free Flowin Fridayz (Week 79-81)

Oh man I have been MIA a lot longer than I'd thought. Sorry about that. But things have been super hectic. Ugh between work, and unfinished apps and...social life my life has been an interesting roller coaster ride. As always it is.

What is bugging me the most is the following philosophical question(s):
How do you stop yourself from maintaining the "wrong" course in life when you know it leads to nowhere good, heartache or headache, and you just generally shouldn't be going down that path anyway...? Your excuse is that it feels good, it makes you happy or it's fun, but does that really justify the actions when you know they shouldn't be happening?
If not, how do you stop?

I keep trying to "go with the flow" as a wise friend tells me every time I chat with him. I am trying, but the current is flowing over some rough and rocky areas in the river at the moment. While the adventure is fun, the adrenaline is pumping and the senses are all activated..it is dangerous nevertheless. So how do you gauge if the risk is worth it?

hmm...time to stop, think, and philosophize.

I just found out that Eyedea has passed away and I'm saddened. He was very good. One of the best on the Rhymesayers roster.

Fast Times at MUSC

So I am in my 2nd block in my 2nd year of school and things are very different than they were last year. It happens. I am leaning on advice from people who have been or are going through a similar situation as myself. It will be okay because you learn just how strong you are when circumstance calls for it. Pathology and clinical Microbiology have some of the nastiest pictures you will ever see in your life. You do not want necrotic fasciitis! You don't want to Google any images of it...I warned you.

One of the guys I worked with this summer interviewed at the new DO school being built in Spartanburg (opening next fall). The interview must have went well b/c he got in.

I'm posting some of my music on a classmates FB wall. He and I went to high school together. As of now, he thinks I "hit the studio" and did a track this weekend :-) The song I put on his wall was "Doin Me" w/ Meadsadzanck's verse deleted, just TRIVI.

I think I'm going to get a new Zune. Too much music for a 4 gb, when I have time I will start pricing. I love my Zune so I definitely not looking to switch brands. Ipods just aren't me.

Kanye's "G.O.O.D. Friday" series dropped a CRS track and it is all that I would expect. Nice rhymes & flow from Ye & (Carrera) Lu.....I missed Carrera. Pharrell was easily the weak leak but if he did the beat then that justifies (somewhat) his place in the group.

First of is an EP by a Brazilian duo Rosie and Me. It's folk music. I really enjoyed it a lot. Decided to download it after one of the songs was posted on my friend's wall. FB's a good source for good music too.
