Well, at least Emory has a few smart folk from my home state.

The Story Behind "theOTHERone"....

So I convince Geden to take a Physics class with me taught by Prof. Malko (old, New York Italian guy). I knew the teacher from a previous class (Astronomy) and he told me this class was going to be easy. Okay, so we have me and Geden in the class. Instead of learning G's name, he refers to him as "the other one" meaning "the other black guy", LOL. That is so offensive, but funny. I do not know if he ever learned Geden's name!!?? If I was in class and Geden was not, he would say "where is the other one?". Everybody knew who he was talking about! The teacher is a cool guy but he often said some.....sketchy stuff about different races and women. If you know the stereotype about old, NY Italians, this should not surprise you.

Since it is still G's birthday, how about some food........

DangerDoom - Korn Dogz (from Occult Hymn)

WTP Wishes theOTHERone a Happy 22nd Birthday !!!

We are all glad to see that Geden "theOTHERone" Franck made it to his 22nd year on Earth (two more than I expected, hahaha)! What do you get from me?.......still broke so I'm still deciding. While I contemplate what my budget can afford, enjoy this playlist [we know you like playlist] and its ALL BOUT THE 90s

P.S. Don't expect that pass anytime soon......

the Hidden Weekly

Week 3

This week was not very entertaining. I think I should write something everyday cause by the end of the week I don’t remember each day’s events. In this weeks news; Russians increasing militaries around the territory they occupied, a terrorist attack killing a governor of one of the districts in western Georgia and a civilian (Russian peacekeeping right there), problems with Internet all over Tbilisi. A phone company cut cables and disconnected customers of the major Internet provider. I was a victim too. I got Internet only on Thursday but then it got disconnected at work so we changed the provider. That shit was annoying.. The On Monday I finally managed to contact the website designer. I didn’t have a lot to do at work so I studied most of the time… I had two classes. Most of my classes are fun cause professors like me and I get away with jokes. That’s coming from a guy who didn’t usually participate in classes… before U.S. (or should I say America?).
On Tuesday it was a lot of work and a little bit of studying. The website was getting done really slowly. So I met up with the guy to discuss details. He had some stupid reasons for not uploading it but I made it clear he had to do it and care about details later. I started working on a new performance evaluation system for the company. It will be approved this week after everyone sees it and provides input and suggestions. I think I’m getting good at this stuff. During the class doctors came in with a vaccine for some disease that mutated and everybody had to get revaccinated. I got it last year before going to US but had to get it again. Now I can’t get alcohol for a week. Everything else is alright but doctors in the middle of the class was random. I joked about that with one of the nurse, she laughed and told me that she would personally vaccinate me. LOL.
On Wednesday I got a call from my friends. They told me they were getting together to celebrate. My friend’s son was baptized and that was a reason but guess what, I could not go.
Thursday… the site was not done so phone conversation with the designer got intense. By the end of the day, it was done. We got disconnected at work now while I got connected at home. I get to go home at 7 on Thursdays which is good. I kind of got kidnapped that day. My friends came by I went outside but missed the car because it was dark and the car was muddy, could not even see the license plates. And that dirty car had 5 girls in it. That was funny to me. I squeezed in that little car and we drove around joking and stuff, I hadn’t seen them in a while. We ended up in a cafĂ©. It felt good to see them, feels like I have a bunch of sisters and we get along somehow. I was able to check the blog that day but not on Friday or Saturday or Sunday. It is blocked. Have to post this from work again. This is supposed to get posted on Sundays and I’ve been failing to do that for a 3rd week straight. Well, at least it gets posted.
Friday… I had a long talk with my boss about the future of the firm and me in it. Everything’s looking good right now. I officially run things when it comes to marketing and now I’m getting into real-estate sales which I will also run. That’s a lot of work and a huge responsibility especially when I’m still in School and have to study hard. It’s getting tough, sometimes I get too tired and it feels like I’m about to break down. But we keep it positive at WTP so I got it, I can handle it and make the right choices. My Friday class was hilarious as always, we had to debate and it felt like a TV show. I chatted with Nevena and Igor. I realized how much I miss lazy B-school Fridays and all of you at Emory.
I had a midterm on Saturday, then a briefing at work. Being at home was a little depressing I don’t even know why. Then I had a video chat with T.R.I.V.I. It had been a long time so it was great to talk again. Then I went outside to take a walk. Turned my iPod on and hit the streets. That really helped to relieve the stress. I was going to go out but I decided to stay and watch a movie. I didn’t feel like going to a crowded place and that was the only option because the last weekend of October is a celebration of Tbilisi being the capital so it’s always crowded. Then I chatted with T.R.I.V.I. gain and Yaz joined too which was great.
I had a group meeting today. We worked for a bout 4 hours then I got home for maybe an hour and went out to see my friends. We watched a movie then I went to see my other friends I haven’t seen in about a month or more. I haven’t laughed this much in a long time. Starting with a video chat on Saturday and then this Today. Me and my friend left together, we took a little walk discussing all the recent events in our lives; my work, drive-by in his neighborhood, this and that. Well now I’m here writing this. I’ll go to bed now.

Special thanks go to Paulee’ for being committed and writing on my wall every day.

the UnWavering uncut

A very, very hard week. I did my 5 page paper for Tuesday. Then, 2 Chemistry tests on Thursday. For Atmospheric Chem, it was short and stupid. The teacher asked questions on material that he did not emphasize. Plus, I am confident some students cheated which could ruin the curve (damn, I'm gonna need it). The Biochemistry test sent me into a depression...deep, deep, depression (shot out to Delon, he knows the feeling). When everybody relaxed Thursday after the test, I was back in the library writing my second paper due Friday. Basically the work week was long and stressful.....more than the usual.

Now, the weekend. I started on my 12oo word essay for Chem[which he only gave a one week notice] then got me a workout in. Me and JNeez definitely getting in shape and looking better and better. I visited Yazmeen and she recorded some video for the movie #2 WTP is working on. Jenelle did as well. Nevena gave me a call about free tickets to see "Zack and Miri Make A Porno" and I was able to get them (maybe she is WTF worthy?). Thankyou for thinking of me, Scorpios gotta look out for each other. Saturday became the official "Givi-Trivi Chat Day". I woke up, turned my computer on, Skype came up, and there was Meadsadzanck sending me a message. So, we chatted...then video chatted....lost connection...re-gained connection...talked. Then, a few hours later, we chatted again and Yaz joined in! In between the chatting, I worked on my paper at the library. (P.S. I texted IGZ and he never replied back, not surprising)

Today is Sunday and I'm at the library again writing this post. I have a lot of reading to do but I am going to take my time. Of course, I gotta go to work and try to fit in a workout. This week will be busy, but there will be no tests!!!! Thankyou Jesus, seriously.

H.S. , you were right, talking with friends does help you get over stress. Me and some former friends had a intense dispute and things probably will not get resolved until end of the semester. I don't have time and neither do they. The situation is unfortunate but I make my decisions carefully and so do they. When the time is right, it will be addressed more. For now, the time says to study/work/focus.......and put in a little time for WTP. The pics below are new and some a couple weeks old that you won't find on FB (exclusively on the blog is how I prefer it).

My 1st Hockey Game (The Thrashers won!!!)

I killed him at chess, R.I.P. Rico
I finally visited Yaz and for some reason I danced wit Dooley (he stepped on my toes). She also contributed video to the upcoming movie....We Luv Yaz!!

WTP Loves The 90s

"WTP Loves the 90s" and I'm going to start us off with the soundtrack from Soul Food. Everybody saw the movie so you know that the music for it was great. The artists include: Dru Hill, Outkast, En Vogue, Tony Toni Tone, Boyz II Men, and more. Enjoy it and look for upcoming post that include TLC, SWV, Freak Nasty, and all our favorite hit makers from the decade my generation grew up in.

Songs of The Week

I know you remember Salt-N-Pepa first hit single. Since it is "WTP Loves the 90s", I had to start off with something that will motivate you. So, remember to "Push It"..."Push it real good"!

Salt-N-Pepa - Push It

The lyrics to this song are TOO TRUE for me right now! Short, sweet, old school Lupe. Enjoy and don't forget to "brush off the ash from the square of that square".

Important Lessons Hip-Hop Taught Me: #5

Protect Ya Neck
Of course the best rap group ever would make the list. The Wu-Tang's 1st single off their first album taught us a very important lesson...."Protect Ya Neck". This world can be very cold and people will attempt to hurt, so you have to watch out for yourself. There are a lot of jealous people who want to see you fail. When you "protect ya neck", you ensure that those individuals do not stop you from reaching those goals. The statement may sound a little... gangsta/rough ....but, it applies to everybody. In the neighborhood or in the classroom, always protect yourself mentally and physically.

Very important to mention is that others can offer you protection. If you choose friends carefully and stay close with family, they will give you extra protection. That is what friends & family do. So remember what hip-hop taught you.....until next time

This One Is For Meadsadzanck

Before he became MF Doom, he was Zev Love X in the group KMD , which included his brother and Onyx. When his brother died, so did Zev Love but he appeared again as The Masked Villain a.k.a. MF Doom. The album is from 1994, so the style and flow is different (Doom was rapping fast back then). Have a listen....

[H.S. I know Doom is high on your list so I had to post this for you]

I'll post a compilation of some of my favorite tracks as soon as I get internet at home. In the mean time, check these out.

Song of the Week: Gatman and Robin

Unstoppable tag team! Mess with one, expect retaliation from the other (but we're not violent, just protective). I'm not a fan of 50 Cent but Eminem is great and this song is not bad.

P.S. I might have to do a response to every "Hidden Weekly" because there are so many questions I could ask [who is this "be Owt"?......the girls are right, I did corrupt you :( sorry, bicho]

Week 2

This week was really great. I had fun. I worked and had fun. I studied and had fun. I had FUN. Monday is where I left off last week. After enjoying a wonderful morning in Vardzia, we got in cars to go back to Tbilisi. On the road there we made a stop in Borjomi, went to a restaurant for couple of hours. Then some of us headed out to Tbilisi because I had a class and others had work to do. Actually I had two classes and I missed one of them but you know I have it all under control. When I got back to Tbilisi, I went home, changed clothes, took a shower and headed to school. I was too damn tired to be in class but I had a test so I had no other way. I’m cool with the professor (same one that teaches my Friday class) he asked me about Emory. He wanted to know if I liked it there and if people at the B-school had heard about our prime minister who graduated from Goizueta Business School. After the class I got home and did the first week post, then I just knocked out. Actually I don’t remember if I did anything else. Like I said I was too tired.

As for the Tuesday, It was a holiday. I just stayed at home though. I had to study and start working on the marketing plan I had to finish for Thursday. I also got a new cover for my journal from T.R.I.V.I. It looks nice doesn't it?

Wednesday was all work, sharing pictures of the trip among coworkers. The marketing plan was going really well, same with making a new website. In other Wednesday events; I had a class (the one I got kicked out a week before) but it went well except for the fact that we had an unannounced quiz (more like a two hour test). The teacher insisted that we were warned though… whatever. I chatted with T.R.I.V.I. on Skype discussing our blog and a snippet of Kanye’s Heartless. Rho joined in too. I hadn’t talked to her for a very long time so it was great to hear from her again. If you’re reading this Rho; I miss you!!! (You promised to follow the blog, so you better be reading. LOL)

Thursday started with me getting to work, checking the blog (WTP baby!!!) and finally getting a full version of Heartless (thanks partner). I like that song too much, I don’t care whatever he’s using, vocoder or not, it sounds good. When I got out of school I managed to talk with the guy who owes me money. He had the most desperate voice on the phone. He really did have problems but I made him understand how stupid it was not to call me. My friends had a talk with him too. He apologized and cried. I felt bad for him. After work and school, I studied a little. I could not do it for too long because I had no energy left in me. I was exhausted but the stress was gone in couple of hours. I chatted with T.R.I.V.I. of course. He told me how funny Rico’s video was and he also warned me not to watch it at work. Then I talked with my friend, on Skype of course. I have no time to go out during the week so I just have late night talks. She had me laughing so hard I think I woke up my neighbors. Her name is Teo and I call her my therapist. Little things like a talk with a friend take away all the stress. I’m sure T.R.I.V.I. will agree with me on this one. I fell asleep with a smile on my face. Now, that’s a good day.

Friday morning came and I got to work and checked my email anticipating a video of Rico trying to repeat some of the dance moves. I resisted for a while but then I realized I had to watch it. I laughed out really loud. everyone came over to my desk to see what was going on. I’m glad that video inspired you to do it but be careful. You need more space (like a field with no walls). Anyways, good job Rico. That video kept me in a great mood for the rest of the day. Even the fact that the guy constructing the website just disappeared couldn’t ruin it. He better have the site uploaded by Monday. The day at work finished with one of my coworkers calling me from his office. Guess what he offered… We had couple shots of Vodka before I went to class. The funny thing is that he’s one of my bosses. I love my job! (LOL don’t think that we’re all drunks. We’re not!) The class was great as always. I had a quiz and I did pretty well. Got back home and saw that I had no internet, which was disappointing. So, I just watched Sad Clown Bad Dub 13 on DVD. Atmosphere live is amazing, great performance.

Saturday morning; I found out that Funmi's plotting to kidnap me and I'm happy she is. Paulee' promised to post on my FB wall everyday until I come back. these two posts put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. After we had a briefing at work and then I went off. The class was canceled so I met up my friends and we bought a birthday present for Data (we all love Data). We hung out at a park for couple of hours, then I got back home. Nothing special happened, still no internet.

On Sunday I called the internet provider but they had no idea what was wrong. They’ll come and fix it this week once they identify the problem. In the mean time I’m writing this on my computer and I’m gonna upload it from work. I also visited my Grandma today. Hate going to that neighborhood but gotta take care of her. After I got back and studied for a while a “be OWT” came my way… she just left. I’m tired but pleased. Now I’m gonna get some sleep and get ready for a 14 hour-long Monday.

New Artist: Asher Roth

Yes, he is white. No, he is not another Eminem. But, many artist with skill (Jay-Z, Cee-lo, Andre 3000) have said he has talent. I'm definitely going to listen to his mixtape below produced by DJ Drama and Don Cannon. Once I've listend to him, I will give feedback. Support the College rapper!! Enjoy your Sunday!

Asher Roth - Greenhouse Effect

Update: added the cover

What's Going on w/ T.R.I.V.I. ?? (#2)

Before I can talk about the past week, let me breakdown the upcoming week: two papers (2&5 pgs) and two tests (Biochemistry & Chemistry 230). For this situation, pity will be accepted :( Somewhere between those, I must take my car to a mechanic. Huuuhhhh......

I have studied a lot this weekend and the week was not different. The production process of WTP next movie will be postponed until next weekend (if the UsualSuspect and IGZ decide to contribute). [If you are hoping to be in it, let me know]. Damn, I broke both pairs of headphones so no using my Zune.

The highlight of the week was definitely Henrico's attempt to imitate the "Georgian Legend" that Meadsadzanck previously posted. WOW!!!! Hilarious, Classic, LOL (H.S. please co-sign). Due to request (and out of respect), I will not post it but......if you see me with my computer, I might show you!!

On a positive note, I have been invited to apply for Wake Forest's post-Bach program (not a bad option). Also, I might be getting a second interview with a medical school scheduled this week. GOD IS GOOD!!! No matter how busy we get, must always remember this. I could go for free and get a stipend if I was willing to serve a few years in the military afterwards but.......I will just get some loans (the army is not where it is at).

The is one HUGE thing that happened to me this week that involved fighting and the Emory Police but I will not go into detail until the situation has unfolded. Just know that T.R.I.V.I. did nothing wrong, just defended myself (2 vs 1(me)). Happy Birthday, Data! I know you took 1, 10, 1000 pics!

Six Flags Pics

the UnWavering uncut

As Fall Break ends, I am very tired but for good reasons. So what happened? On Friday, I went to my first hockey game ever (Atlanta Thrashers) with my P.I.C. Igor. [I think he's racist, he thinks I'm racist, he is mean to me, I am an ass to him, somehow we get along]. There were a lot of points and plenty of fighting. Go Thrashers, thanks Igor for finding tickets!

Saturday, I worked 8 hrs. When I got off, did some work and went to a movie. I saw Body of Lies with Igor (gotta give him a nickname/alias), Rico, and JNeez. Movie was not bad, my company was great. We could not find seats for the movie we wanted to see (cannot remember which) so we made the best out of it. Oh, Igor you owe me $10 or I will......we won't need to go there.

Sunday, Six Flags all day, literally. Me, Igor, and Rico did the bungy thing which was incredible and worth the $$. The caste included the aforementioned + Yaz + Igor's sister and her friend. Wish you were there, Rho. We rode most rides and have great pics/videos/"mEmorys" (H.S., can I have permission to use this?). I felt good to relax and forget about school, just for 1 day. Jenelle and Rico won shirts while me and Yaz have Superman and Batman capes. We sold our extra tickets outside the gate which paid for our parking and the capes (we stay hustlin'). I was so tired leaving that I got us lost but used JNeez's Blackberry to get directions. Great, gread day!

Monday, I go to work. I was bored but my mood changed we I saw "the Hidden weekly". Earlier in the day, me and Yaz went to Little 5 Pts and bought some good stuff (some I will have to start getting Xmas gifts and filling that special care package). Oh, almost forgot, I earned my first parking ticket of the year. Whatever. Later that night, IGZ came by and we watched some videos but couldn't play Xbox, damn. ***We were nice to each other, I think****

(so you know, the UsualSuspect was in NY this weekend)

Where does the name "T.R.I.V.I." come from and why ALL CAPS???
Good question but I will not go too deep. Just enough that you understand its value to me. Apparently (say slowly), a two guys named Travis and Givi became close friends. Then, a genius called Nevena invented the equation: Travis + Givi = Trivi. So, T.R.I.V.I. is me but will forever represent two people with a connection (hence, "theTMConnection"). Different mothers, still brothers!

About the ALL CAPS (good song)...each letters stands for something that describes me. Plus, the caps add emphasis and reflects how proud I am of it. My "T.R.I.V.I." fitted hat is only matched by one other hat. Please, don't try to get like us!!

T.R.I.V.I.'s Trip To Unicoi

So, my retreat a few weekends ago was boring but the environment was beautiful. I am on of those people who enjoys smelling fresh air, seeing trees, and feeling the sunshine. If you are like me, then have a look at the video. Yaz says I had some beautiful pics but you should watch and determine what you think.

My weekly status is coming soon! I need to finish some artwork for it first (I like yours, H.S.) then I will let you know WTF is going on with me and answering the following question:

Where does the name "T.R.I.V.I." come from and why ALL CAPS????

the Hidden Weekly

Week 1

Hello world... always wanted to say this
This is a begginning of weekly journals that I plan to do and hopefully T.R.I.V.I. will do his thing as well. Take this as an exception because usually I'm gonna post on Sundays. The Thing is that I wasn't around a computer or internet yesterday so I'm doing this now. This is just a recap of the past week. Alright let's do this.

The week started with me facing a serious decision. I had to choose between job offers (job I got hired a week before and another offer from a Financial Newspaper) which is a great thing but it turned out to be very hard. I guess that's because I liked both offers and they offered fairly similar stuff. I was thinking about it for couple of days. On Monday I decided to talk to my employer and tell him about everything. I'm not gonna get into deep about the things that we discussed but he shared his experience with me. We talked about the prospects of the company and I realized that I should stay there and face the challenges ahead of me. It's my trial period and it will be tough but this is where I need to be right now. So the next day I told the person from the Financial newspaper company that I was going to stay. Time will really tell if I made the right choice but I'm ready to face the outcome. Anyways... the work got intense in the past week except for Tuesday... I was just sitting around having nothing to do. And that was no fun. After the boring Tuesday at work I got good news; no class that day. You have to realize that I have 3 hour classes after working for 9 hours so that definitely made my day even though all I did at home was homework and listening to music because I was too tired to do anything else.
Let's move on to Wednesday now. Wednesday was funny. I had to do stuff at work this time. I was putting final touches to the mission statement and other texts that we're going to put on our website as well as contacting with designer/my friend to finish redesigning the company logo. Marketing turned out to be very interesting but I do realize it is going to get much more challenging because it's more complicated than that. anyways when the days was over, I said bye to everybody at the office and headed to school. I got to my class... and right in the middle of it I got a call (the phone was on silent) from one of my co-workers which means the call was important. I apologized and got out of the class to answer. There was some problem at the office and they needed keys that I had. I told them where to come and got back into class but the professor told me that I had to leave because I didn't have the right to answer the phone. That was funny but at the same time I got mad... I could have told him that he didn't have the right to do that and explain my point very well but I did not. Sometimes you gotta play it smarter than that. He can definitely try to fail me in that class so I just apologized and left. I got kicked out of the class... funny (those of you who know me know why). Now everybody at work jokes about calling me on the phone whenever I feel like leaving class.
Thursday; nothing note worthy... at work, I started to plan a promotional campaign for one of our projects, same on Friday. The Friday class was fun though. It's a Decision Making class and it's very interactive and fun. Interactive classes don't work so well in Georgia because we're more used to lectures. But this one works great. So we had a few good laughs at the class (yes, it's that good) discussing the material.
I had to work full time this Saturday (that was an exception) plus I had a class (not an exception) so i was very tired when I got home. I was still in a great mood of course, screw being down (ok, I was a little stressed). Another highlight of the week (before I get to Sunday); I had to look for a guy that owes me money. I know him really well, we have mutual friends so I let him borrow some money (that I don't have too much) and he disappeared. turned his cell phone off and shit. I'm not the only one he did this to. My friends and I are really mad. We feel being disrespected because he didn't have to do that, he could have just called and say he can't get the money back right now. We would understand. We were not too far from being friends so it's not about the money. It's about respect. Doing this is really not good for him because we are still getting our money and he's getting his ass kicked (sounds a little gangsta right there.lol) instead of getting a handshake.
Now... Sunday. I went for  a trip with my coworkers and employers. Visited south of Georgia; monasteries, temples and old fortresses. On the way there though we passed places that were occupied by Russians not too long ago (they still haven't left too far). I saw places that were bombed so it was very depressing but.... the trip continued to the south. We had a great time... I just got back today. It was interesting to see those people outside of the office. The founder of the company was there too, we drank together and sang all the random songs we could find. It got to the Offspring's Why Don't You Get a Job (symbolic huh?) and Shakira's Underneath Your Clothes (we were too drunk at this point!). I had no hangover this morning... that means the wine was really good. I'm sure those German tourists that joined us enjoyed it too. another thing I enjoyed today was turning my iPod on in the morning and the first song that came on was Atmosphere's Sunshine. I drank the night before, the sun was definitely shining (warming up my mind) and it was a beautiful day.
here are some pics of the places I went to:

that's it for week 1
