the UnWavering uncut 2.0

[Looks like I have to step my game up now]
Let's get right in to it. More tutoring, chatting with Venduto Guntsadze & Ashley, deciding what to invest in on E-trade. Nevena even communicated on Skype, she wanted to know if I was going to the concert. I said "no, I will catch it on TMZ during the weekend". It rained way too much the past week. I made the mistake of wearing some new shoes (without havine sprayed them with water repellant).

They are doing okay, though. I see that as the school year approaches the end, certain people are posting. Good job, soon I will need more than one hand to count all of your posts!

On Friday, we celebrated my boss' birthday with cake (at 9am) and procrastination. I did not tutor anyone, she talked to people on the phone, then we talk about a shopping spree that we will have when we return from Spring Break.

I turned in my hours for the month of March....mission accomplished!!! My biggest check ever is coming and do I spend it or save it? Little of both? I decided just to give my sister some money. She is in college now and money lets her get what she really wants. She just better not buy no damn alcohol. [Sidenote: you can check FB to see what my older sister thinks of me].

Of course, I must mention the mixtape. Management has not requested any material so I have had to lead myself. No worries, you will be entertained. Givi sent me two tracks that are....repeat worthy! I will make that I "don't evern f*ckin question" your ability to make some good music, bicho. When I come this Friday (when I am on campus this Friday, that's right!), Mr. Franck better have his "DJ" voice ready cause I need audio. I will finish all my stuff before the end of the week.

p.s. sorry for the lack of love on skype yesterday, the Tar Heels were playing...and they won!!!!

Dooley's Week

(PART 1 of 2)
Wow, it's Sunday already. Well I think it is time for another G Status or I can just wait another 36 years and then write my next one. Maybe, I should just wait and write a post everytime T.R.I.V.I. have another birthday, so that will be twice a month. lol. But this week at school was very interesting since it was Dooley's week.
The week was pretty cool. I am mad that I didn't get let out of any classes during the week and I ended up not getting a free shirt but beside that the week was cool. I didn't attend Taste of Emory cause I knew it was gonna be lame and it was but some people enjoyed it since they were giving away free wine. Then there was screen on the Green which I didn't go to because I was doing Emory Reads. Daniel Tosh I heard was funny in comparison to Tracy Morgan but I enjoyed Tracy other people did not cause they said he was offensive. But, he said "if you were offended and you sat through the whole show you are the stupid one." LOL. The two best events of the week were N.E.R.D concert and Dooley's Ball. They took forever to open the Gate because they said that we could not be let in until sound check was finished. So the open advertised that the doors would open at 6pm but the doors did not open till about 45 minutes later. Milla and Rachel were so excited about the concert that they were waiting since 5 pm and were first in line. When I got there aroud 6:40 pm I skipped the line and went to the front with Milla. Who cares about the line. But some other people decided to do the same also. The show started with 3 opening acts. The best of which were Fusion the Band which is a group from Morehouse. The last group Bottles and Cans were not my style of music but they took extremely long on the stage. We were hoping they would end 5 songs earlier. But eventually Pharrell, Shae and Chad came out to rock the crowd.

Pharell had the most energy when they came out and brought excitment to the the crowd. Milla and Rachel waiting paid off with front row spaces. Then he encouraged the people in the crowd to go crowd surfing . That was a big mistake.

Crowd Surfing was very hectic. Girls are boys were crowd Surfing. I was surprised to Logan McDaniels, Faren Grant and Sade Bell go surfing. But the caused great chaos and ended up bad since it got the crowd too excited and ended up breaking the baricades.
Then Pharell had to take control of the situation and calm the crowd down in order to make sure everyone was safe. Pharell became so frusted with the crowd that he ended up screaming "You're ruining the Fucking Show" to the members of the crowd that were not listening. Then he allowed the crowd to move forward all the up to the stage. Then the show continue with all the energy that it started with.

I didn't know Pharell could jump that high. The Show was great. It was by far one of the most energized shows at Emory. Later on Pharell was pulling girls on stage. Then by the time the song Everybody Nose came on the stage was filled with girls. Even Milla and Rachel got on stage.

This was by far also the best and worst concert I have been to. The show wag great. But, the crowd was to crazy and helpin people crowd surf was a pain which felt like a workout. The show was show that that even JD stop by and enjoyed it.

The next day was great also because of Dooley's Ball. There were some great costumes. The music was good and the people was very entertaining. I also decided that since it was my last Dooley's ball that I was gonna have some fun!!
Back Back now Back it Up... Someone was entertained..Get Low.........

the UnWavering uncut

This week seemed long. Celebrated my boss' birthday on Friday. I did not do any work that day and she did not mind. We discussed some shopping that we be doing when we return from Spring Break (which started on Friday). With this week off, I need to do some studying but I have started back working at TJ Maxx so the break won't be that much of a break.

UNC is still in the tournament, go Tar Heels! Yaz exceeded my expectations with the blog. I here that I missed a very interesting concert last Thursday. It is possible that I may tutor my little sister this summer (which could tear my family apart!). I think I am going to distance myself from a few people who are between being friends and just good acquaintances. This means deleting phone numbers and, of course, not speaking. Why put time in a relationship(s) that are not going anywhere? Can I move forward if my relationships do not?

My birthday is coming up so I think I might catch a flight to Canada. It is very nice this time of year, I hear. This is me "keeping you on your toes". Pictures coming tomorrow.

the Hidden Weekly

Week 25

Another week of my life is gone... it was a good one, too. Now let me think about things that happened. Everything is fine at work. There's this "lady" (read: bitch) I'm trying to set up a meeting with (she asked herself) but everytime we agree on some time and I call at that time she tells me to call later. That's pissing me off. I don't want to give the whole explanation, of course it's not that simple but it's not complicated either. Anyways... I had couple of other meetings/negotiations. Work is getting entertaining. I try not to take everything too seriosuly. I mean I know about the responsibility and everything but I think being nervous about certain things equals to overreacting. I don't know if I made sense to you but makes sense to me.

I had a midterm in Internation Business... it was easy so I expect a good grade. I haven't done a lot of the readings but the class is about things that are very basic. Chapter summaries and example questions are enough. it's a junior class but the class this semester is compirsed of people who have failed it earlier (or in my case: have never took it due to being away).

Wednesday brought another midterm and a test in French. I studied the most for the french class but the test was hard... I'll have a lot of mistakes, everyone will. That shit was hard.

What else is there.... Paulee' forgot about me :) but she had things to take care of so no worries. I also chatted with Travis, Ashley and Nevena who only writes when she's in class as a TA. I told her to ask the professor if I could attend the class via Skype but she didn't.

The weather this Thursday and Friday was amazing ("the weather is amazing, even the birds are bumping"). I was sitting at work but my mind was outside talking a walk. I also downloaded Atmosphere discography and I'm very excited. I'm listening to Deep Puddle Dynamics (The Taste of Rain... Why Kneel) right now. That's a group Slug was part of. I'll post it of course... I got a huge list of Atmosphere stuff I'm going to listen to this week.

Speaking of music... The mixtape is almost done. The engineer is at work... (my Repping Time verse is fire, you better like it).

Weekend was good too... I hung out with my friend(s). Made a video for another edition of Where I Be... I want to cover most of the places I frequently visit.

Yaz's blog is great, we had the opportunity to chat yesterday. I promise I'll spell the title correctly from now on... Geden has posted after (aproximately) 36 years. Now, we gotta wait for another one.

Ashley, weren't we supposed to chat this Saturday?

Slaughterhouse - Move On

Update: Lupe Fiasco- Free (Unreleased Track)

I cannot find where to download this song but I love it (so I post it through YouTube). When I find a good link, I shall share it.

I had to download a whole mixtape (lupe the great) to get this specific track but I have it now (once again).

Free Flowin Fridayz

For how long is the excuse "I'm busy" valid in a friendship? Or the "I can't tell you" this or that...? Is a one-sided friendship really worth it? Or better yet how does YOU define a "one-sided" friendship. As college is coming to an end I see many seniors re-evaluating their friendships, trying to determine which ones to hold on to and which ones to let go of. But this can be a very difficult process when you come to evaluate long standing friendships you established freshman year. So what is the criteria to determine if you should hold onto someone or not? Is there one? Do you rely on your gut instincts or your rationale mind? It seems like one of those mind vs. heart issues that are hard to reconcile. Not until college did I realize a friendship can be stressful. I am usually able to discard of friendships that I know aren't worth it and have never had much trouble with close friends. Until college....

In so many ways college is a turning point in our lives. We learn so much about relationships, people, ourselves...life. Friendship is one of the most important things to me. Granted I could probably live without friends, but it would be a rather unpleasant experience. So what makes a friendship worth it or not? How do we determine the worth of a person? Can we? Does a friendship really have to be about give and take or can someone take and take while the other gives and gives and it still be considered a healthy relationship? If friend A confides in friend B, but never asks about things going on in B's life...is that ok? I guess sometimes it is ok, but the lack of interest in B's life might start getting irritating. But imagine this: B is the kind of person who is happy as long as he/she can help his/her friends. But then all of a sudden B sees A being stressed out like crazy but not talking about it. This drives B to his/her breaking point and A just gives the excuse of "I've been busy, sorry." And then when B sees A later...B tells A that he/she has been upset with A. The response A gives? "I don't care...I just don't care anymore...everyone is upset with me." So what does B do? Give up on this convulted friendship or make one last ditch effort to make it work?

Interstingly enough I have met at least 3 people in such situations...and talking to them I realize that these situations force us to really evaluate ourselves: our personalities, character traits, what matters most to us, and how we view life and relationships in general.

Friendship can be like an art piece. The harder you work on it the better it gets. But sometimes it just never gets better or your missing that one tool that you really need to finish off your piece.

Where I Be

We all know where he made this, right?

I still have never been to the Vortex, although I had been to Five Points a good number of times.

John Robinson - Who Is The Man?

I listened to most of this album and he has a good flow & positive lyrics. It does not hurt to have DOOM produce your entire album though.

I still cannot figure out how to add his Youtube video within this post...so I guess I will do it separately.

Song of The Day

Self Hate Bad Dub

Made My Day

So, a student (Jerri) that I tutor for math comes into the office and tells me how good she feels about the test she took. Then, tells me that she credits me for her success and gives me a ONE HOUR MESSAGE gift certificate to show appreciation. I am very proud of how confident she is about the test and the gift was icing on the cake! I think I will give it to my mom....I like massages but there are more deserving people.

P.S. I thought I had took away G's access to blog posting! And don't try to call me out!

Writing for the mixtape is now complete, now to record and engineer it

GTG - GT= Just G

So I haven't posted on here in a while. I was waiting to hear from a couple of Med schools before I did my next post but they are taking too long and I'm getting impatient. I know all of you guys missed me because of all the side jokes that the Hidden one and T.R.I.V.I. But I am just still on campus trying to finish up with classes and papers to get ready to graduate. But, I would like to acknowledge that the campus is not the same without Givi and Travis. You two are missed on campus. Especially since I am getting tried of everybody asking about you two like you both haven't been gone for a while. But Givi, Paulee' sends her best. Travis made great lasting impressions while he was here. There are a couple of people who ask about him but I won't say names to not boost anyone egos.

This semester is also an interesting one. There are a series of events that have had an impact on me this semester. The first being the "disappearance" of some of my friends in order to purse their own personal endeavors. I will continue to support them however I can. Also, the Boys and Girls Club has been great this semester.
This semester has been the best semester I have spent at our Friday hang outs. I remember when I dragged somebody to the club evn though they weren't as "servicey" as they use to be. But the last visit was the most emotional. I gave one of the volunteers a hug, and she started crying, which really made me love this young lady. A couple of the volunteers have change what we do at the club. Instead of only going out and playing with them we have started a short educational part of the program that focuses on motivating these young children to do their best.

Another important part of my week was that I finally got my computer back from the dead. For those of you who don't know I step on my computer and broke the screen towards the beginning of the school year. Yeah, I know dumb. But, I called my insurance company and after giving me hours of run arounds I got them to fix it for me. I shipped it off before spring break and got it back when I returned. Then had to study for a test and write a paper. But at least I have my computer back in perfect shape.

But this was a short break from doing some reading from class to express some of the emotions that were going through my mind. I have decided to separate my section into two parts. One being the current events, G Status, and one about anything that is on my mind, Deep Blue G. So look out for me to hit up the blog more often now.

Look out for the Catch Up Edition of G Status.......Filled with Trips, Fun and School....

Bowling.....with People

I want to do this.....will you guys volunteer?

Labratz - Atlanta Rising

I have not listened to the whole thing but I really like "Mr. Mental", "Tellem", and "Creation".

the UnWavering uncut (Pt 2 of 2)

In this chat I had with Yaz, we are working on scheduling my our trip (my 1st) to Stone Mountain. I will get around to inviting people next weekend. If you read this, you are invited (seriously). I also sent her an exclusive GTG track cause I thought it might put a smile on her face....and so she would not "boil over".

So I went shopping and bought some clothes. Not my typical purchases, I bought some sweaters on sale. I am trying to....transition my wardrobe because I realize being a medical school will require a more formal appearance at times. Still into hoodies, hats, tees but I understand where I am headed (career wise) and must prepare for it. Speaking of hats, I got this nice new fitted. Since I found a place for embroidery, I am thinking of getting a new fitted hat to go along with my T.R.I.V.I. fitted. Hmmm, what should go on it? Ideas are welcome. I will postpone getting a hat until I take care of my little sister's birthday gift. I like to give good gifts, some of you are witnesses. Money is not so important but the thought is almost everything. She will be 19, oh my god!! Little sister is not so little anymore. The grow up fast, right Yaz!

I been listening to this new DOOM album a lot. And, with this new space on my Zune, I have been adding a lost of Atmosphere (3 albums + 2 instrumental albums). After looking for this album on & off for about a year (since I heard it during a road trip to Fort Valley), I think I just found it. Downloading is almost finish and, if it is good, I will post it Monday.

In response to the Hidden weekly, Givi is being very modest about his contribution and too generous about mine. His stuff is great (seriously, he's my favorite rapper.....I memorize his lines and everything). So, expect a lot from both of us. I am trying to keep my level high because he is already high up there (with lyrics and production).

Week 24

I've been much more active at work during this week. Now I'm motivated to do more. It was very tiring though. I have a lot to take care of. After work I don't have the energy to do anything... sometimes even thinking is hard so I sit in front of the laptop with my mind blank, feeling dumb. I definitely don't study for anything except for french. The thing is that I can get away with that so I do. Damn, life will be so much easier without college and it's assignments and group projects. The time is approaching, almost here. I was able to get out of office 'cause I had to go to places. Didn't have to go too far so I walked everywhere. The weather was nice most of the week. except for the windy Friday.

The internet connection was resumed this Wednesday, after two weeks. That's good. The fire at my Grandma's apartment was not. It was not that bad as it sounds though. She's doing good.

Wednesday was a long and tiring day. Running around doing work, combined with two classes. I went to class, then went back to work for a meeting, then went back to school. The good thing was that we watched a movie in the french class so it was not as tiring as it usually is.

Thursday...the class got canceled as well as some of the work that was supposed to be finished that day. Again I had to run around trying to figure out when the job would be finished. I hate that... I think I will be much better at just idea generation, planning, development and stuff than actually performing that.. I don't want to get into too much details. Anyways, the work had to be postponed to Friday.

Friday was very windy which was one of the reason of things not finishing. Everything that could have caused problems, caused problems. veery tiring day. I wanted to see some of my friends but I could hardly move by the end of the day, So I just sat in my room.

Saturday was a great day, everything got done and phone calls were enough on my part. I recorded couple of tracks. watched Tropical Thunder, listened to some music and got on skype. Had no plans of going out. I was chatting with TRIVI and my friend when I got a message from Salome asking if I wanted to got to a bar with her and the rest of the crew(it was a Karaoke night... shocking). TRIVI went to the store, I went to the bar, my friend stayed on Skype. We had a lot of fun... (I am about to mention Vodka again)... had some Vodka and Coke. The Karaoke thing is funny. It's getting very popular in Tbilisi. On the way home (I was trying not to laugh but...) these girls were listening to 2Pac's Hit 'Em Up and some other pac songs. I found it funny. I'm riding with gangsta chicks. lol. (listening to Pharell and Kanye's Number One doesn't count).

Soday was a very good day as well. The weather was Nice... no... it was NICE. sunny and warm. I was out for most of the day. I recorded some audios, visited my grandma... then went out with my friends. We were just walking around the city, from place to place. Ended up at one of my friend's apartments. I had some tea and Dorito chips. The week is almost over and I hope this upcoming week will be even better.

TRIVI is doing a great job with the mixtape. You'll be amazed by his material. I'm trying to make a little contribution too but he's unstoppable. I just got his email with some new material. great stuff. I like that beat and I'm up for a challenge but you'll have to wait. Bad Man is the prioroty.

That's for the feedback and update on the mixtape. It is coming.

Redneck Camping Guide

Much thanks to the beautiful people of my home stat, South Carolina.

the UnWavering uncut (Pt 1 of 2)

Yeah, the state of Georgia sent me my check! And now it is gone, don't worry cause it was not very big but I used it wisely. So, I am thinking of investing some money. A co-worker provided some info on what appears to be a good opportunity for someone interested in investing a modest amount of money. I'm not trying to get rich, just give my money a chance to possibly create more of itself. I have one more week to reach my goal for work hours. If I do, a big check will be deposited into my account in a few weeks. I got everything straight with TJ Maxx, I will start back working probably beginning of April (the store is switching locations, but still close to where I live). I scared this lady I tutor because I told her not to depend on social security for her retirement. She seemed shocked. I was just wanted her to realize that SS is going to be undependable unless changes to it are made (and money put back in by the government).

Good to know that Givi can search the world wide globe again (from his home). Skype was really quiet so I had stop getting on for a week....I do that sometimes. Why hasn't Ashley friended me on Skype? And why hasn't management made any music requests? That is just a seque [Yaz told me how to spell that] so I can tell you guys that "the mixtape is doing good" and "progress is really moving forward right now".

My research paper I did for my WS senior seminar is being inducted into the Emory Archives (not floor of the Woodruff Library). There will be a ceremony and some speaking....I won't be there. I am proud cause the research took a lot of work and my partner Scott worked hard as well.

As for today (Sunday), not really into the NCAA games that are playing and currently procrastinating from preparing for work tomorrow....need to look over some accounting material. I made myself some flash cards to start learning anatomy terminology.

p.s. i think i am going to get in touch with my roots very soon...the nappy ones!

(MF) DOOM - Born Like This

I have been waiting on this for awhile....too long, but DOOM comes through with a great album (in my opinion). Decide for yourself, link is below

BORN LIKE THIS

p.s. release of that very anticipated GTG mixtape will definitely not come before April but just know that progress is being made daily. Mr. Hidden is going hard and I'm trying to keep up! DJ G is......not going to get any more comment.

The Boogie Monster of Rap...

....Yeah, the man's back

I don't know why this particular song popped in my head but >>here<< it is.

Soooo... I am back. and I was thinking what I could put up real quick. Maybe this picture:

theTMconnection.blogspot.com - you took good care of it of course. as always.

you can restart the Random Thoughts beat, after I say "you can rewind if you missed it". you rewind the beat and get on it...

In some other news: There was a fire at my grandmother's apartment (if that can be called an apartment). The kitchen's gone, she's alright thanks to neighbors. What a great news to hear when you get home after a 12 hour-long day.

Songs of the Day

As I get more (MF) Doom material, I shall post it cause H.S. and I are big fans. BTW, listen to Brother Ali's "The Believers" to here Slug (of Atmosphere) drop a nice, long verse!!

the UnWavering Uncut (Pt 2 of 2)

[sorry about not having pics and/or video but it happens]

So I will be getting a Spring Break at the end of the month....it begins March 30th so I think I will be visiting campus the weekend before (27th-29th). People, I have a few objectives but Stone Mountain, the Aquarium, and dinner are a must. When Management requests that I come, I come.

I did make it to my tutoring at 8 AM. She is gone now and I am typing this.....90 minutes to do whatever. So, I compressed a lot of the music on my Zune and saved about 500 MB!!!! Now I am on a music hunt. A nice break from getting the "run around" by TJ Maxx. The manager I need to speak to refuses to call me back or is holding something against me. She is good person but definitely is capable of holding a grudge....but she has no reason to that I am aware of.

So I've been thinking about Yasmeen doing a weekly blog post.....something TBP during the week, like a Wednesday or Thursday. Rather than give a rundown of her past week, I would like her to just let her thoughts flow [ like the does on FB except in more depth]. Yaz, background on what you are discussing is not required. Just type what is on your mind, which can be a lot at times and I can relate. Let WTP know what you think about the idea (to everyone else, encourage her to do so).

So I am already starting to think of what to get people for graduation. The list is short but has important people on it (sorry, only graduating seniors with the exclusion of Dr. Robert Lee). I know what I will get for two people but a few more are left. I'm running out of words. Givi needs internet cause Skype isn't the same. I still have an hour of (paid) free time, should I look over some accounting material or work on the mixtape??????????

The Hidden Weekly

Week 23

What can I say; no internet (or phone) connection. That’s the theme of the week. I was disconnected. But I took my time to do more reading and writing, it didn’t feel as bad as I thought it would. I’m still very annoyed though because I’m writing this at home to post it from work later (tomorrow morning)… The ISP/phone company has been saying they’re gonna resolve the issue soon for the past 10 days.
As for the rest of the week; it was good. Had two meetings, one with a bank official and another one with the administration of our business center. The administration didn’t take me seriously at first, I felt like I was received as a kid. Well, until they were listening to what I was saying very carefully. Didn’t have a test on Tuesday (but it’s coming this week). I did have a presentation for innovations management on Wednesday. Went well, I felt especially confident that day. Same on Thursday, I had another presentation; less important though.
I remember dreams from almost every day of the week which doesn’t usually happen. I had good sleep this week. You know the feeling you get waking up in the morning and realizing: hey, I had a good night sleep, I’m feeling fresh. That’s how I felt.
This week was a Spring Break week. Hope you had fun. I know I did last year. Being unable to chat was weird too. But me and Travis still exchanged couple of emails to get the mixtape going. Oh, Ashley added me on Skype which is exciting but I haven’t been able to get online. Paulee of course kept it coming on FB. Piji is not just imaginary now, thanks to her. I got the whole island in my room (it’s residents too). I’m just as excited about the package as I was last week, maybe even more.
Friday was the busiest day at work this week. I finished an investment proposition for Greek investors, than I had to translate it to Georgian as well. It was time consuming. Stayed at work till 7:50. Then went to see my friends, went to a cafĂ©. Saw this famous poet that got bitten by his dog Mike Tyson style. Always wanted to see how his ear looked. Now I got that mission accomplished too. It was a fun night, then we took a walk, hung out on the corner a block away from my home. Got some… candy and chips at the store. We bought the candies we used to love as kids. Some of them are no longer around but we found the best ones.
Saturday… I went to my friends house, we have to fill out tax reports for all the scholarships we received the spring semester last year. So we did that and just hung out, talking about random things. Well, actually I was quite most of the time. Didn’t feel like talking. Got home and wrote a verse for Figaro, it’s not recorded yet. As soon as this is posted t I’m gonna email Random Thought to T.R.I.V.I..
I almost forgot. My friend gave me a ride home after class this week. The thing that makes it special is that; she’s been driving by herself for only 2 weeks, and she has no driving license. I thought it was funny… she was scared for every cop car we saw on the way. I def suggested getting a license (as if I had it already).
