Quote
The feelings that hurt most, the emotions that sting most, are those that are absurd; the longing for impossible things, precisely because they are impossible; nostalgia for what never was; the desire for what could have been; regret over not being someone else; dissatisfaction with the world’s existence. All these half-tones of the soul’s consciousness create in us a painful landscape, an eternal sunset of what we are.

the Hidden Post
Back to posting everyday... no more diary type of stuff though. We can discuss what happens to me everyday in a more private way if anyone's interested.
I'll just focus on the entertainment and art that I come across everyday.
Of course I'll post about some serious issues and give you Food for Though from time to time. Also post a few pics and vids of myself as well... rarely.

Music Friday
1.
I'm gonna start with the group called the Avalanches and just take the very first paragraph from Wikipedia.
"The Avalanches are an electronic music group from Melbourne, Australia, best known for their live DJ sets and debut album Since I Left You, which was assembled from approximately 3,500 vinyl samples."
you can imagine how much work they have put in doing this.
The album is great, has a nice feel to it. It's really a sonic trip with all those different sounds from different sources.
This is my favorite song and a video. You should also Watch out for the song Since I Left You... that's a great one as well.
Download
2.
Next is Soul Khan. 2dopeboyz have been posting some of his videos and songs. I've also been watching him battle on Grind Time Now and he's really smart, witty and raw. But he can also make great songs and this album - Soul Like Khan proves it. Everything is on point. That Sene feature doesn't hurt either.

Free Flowin Fridayz (Week 82-84)
So I've been MIA again. Sorry. It's kind of hard to recap the last few weeks except to say that I've been travelling a lot...Instead of posting a separate Princess Chronicles, I think I will post some picslater that will illustrate some of the things I've been up to in DC. *Sidenote: My camera broke this weekend so I am quite upset and need to choose another camera to buy! :'( *
Working 6/7 days of the week leaves very little leisure time. I'm still not so sure that transferring my Regal job up here was really the best idea...but I work M-F at NIH and 12-8 on Sundays at Regal. *sigh* Oh well. NIH stuff is kind of really really boring right now. A lot of data entry and clean up. Not sure when I will start this elusive project/paper that I am told I will have to work on. I still have unfinished essays to do and my room/apt is still not in order. Really annoying, but oh well.
This robot was from the Lockheed Martin exhibit.
I forget his name, but he talks and answers questions!
Pretty Awesome!

I'm writing this from home in Jacksonville now. I'm a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding this Saturday and the bachelorette party fun starts Thursday EARLY morning! I've also offered to be the official DD since I am the only one who doesn't drink. I figure why not. Let these girls loosen up and have some fun.
Gotta be up early to deal with some stuff. Hope everyone is doing well!
