the Hidden Daily
I left of yesterday.
My friend and I went to the movies later that evening. I bought a present since she had a birthday on Monday but I was sick so I didn't make it. We had a good time, we went to a private screening and watched this movie; La Strategia del Ragno by Bernardo Bertolucci.
*note: my skype is acting weird right now. It shows that I have new messages from Igor and Travis when I already read them and even replied but they're not being delivered. ugh, messed up.
That was it for the day.
I woke up at about 6am with a terrible toothache. I didn't get much sleep, I was able to sleep only by 9, that's when I already had to get up to go to work. Today had a terrible start. I went to the dentist. I helped my dad with something. Got internet connection set up in the apartment.
*another note: I'll un-install skype and then install it again, maybe that will solve the problem. I restarted the application and it's not connecting.
I went to the same private movie theater today but with more people. We watched Five Easy Pieces. It was alright. Jack Nicholson did his thing.
Then I invited them over to my place, we hung out for a few hours, had some chips and beer. Not me though, I don't do beer. I had soda.
I'll post some random videos from tonight:

the Hidden Daily
I've been feeling a little weird these past few day. My mood changes too fast. very different thoughts come to mind and then they go and then others come. I can't really focus on any of them. Sometimes I'm filled with the sense of purpose, I know what I'm doing... the next minute it turns the opposite way. It might get to the point of destroying what I did when I had inspiration.
I took some stuff from home yesterday. Took my dad's car to drive around for a bit. I got this new shaving kit but the blade cut my face a little. That was not... pleasant.
I started reading 100 Years of Solitude; so far do good.
I'm still not used to my new bedroom. I'm used to seeing a different scene when I wake up.
I feel sleepier than usually today because I didn't get a good sleep. It was so hard to get up especially knowing the fact that I had to do something at work I have to be very careful about. Well, obviously that thing is done and it went better than I thought.
Now I'm just gonna post this and post some pictures as I usually do. I like finding good pictures.
I'm posting early today. Most of the day is ahead of me. I got some work to do, go to a few places, nothing stressful.
I might have an appointment with the dentist, he has to call me in couple of hours or I don't know what I'm gonna do this evening.

It's christmas over here. Merry Christmas.
no work today.
I came over to take some stuff for the apartment so I'll post to get you updated a little.
I moved and it felt weird to stay at a new place for the first time but it was good. It will get more and more comfortable.
Thank you Yasmeen for that wonderful post.
I was supposed to go to the dentist today but there was a shooting there last night. One doctor was wounded badly. I have no idea what happened. It's right on the corner of the block where I live(d). (I moved officially).
I gotta run now.

Free Flowin Fridayz (Week 40) * New Year 2010 edition *
The year 2009 has passed and 2010 has come.
{I have started and stopped this post so many times, trying to find the right words to express the roller coaster of a ride the year 2009 has been for many of us.}
{I have started and stopped this post so many times, trying to find the right words to express the roller coaster of a ride the year 2009 has been for many of us.}
Well actually the entire decade has seen us through high school and through college and for many of us in to graduate schools and future careers as well. A lot has transpired in these years.
The first have of 2009 was both happy and sad for me. I tried to spend as much time as I could with my friends. I even made a promise to get out more since it was Senior year. I only wish I had made that promise sooner, but I really do need an extra push and a hand to guide me when it comes to certain social things that are out of my realm of comfort. However spending time with my Emory family was precious to me. The second half of the year was just uuubbber stressful and we won't really talk about that. Instead I will reminisce on happy things.
My dearest WTF I LOVE you all, wish you the happiest New Year and hope that we can continue to keep in touch for years and years to come!
To Geden: You my friend, are a bundle of joy. LOL. I reaaaaallly wish I were able to hang out with you more during the 2 years you were there, but the times I did they were wonderful. Most of all you have this way about you...you just tell things as they are. Without that I really probably would have been a biiig mess this past summer, but you really helped me put things into perspective and I am forever grateful for that. Thank you. I hope that our friendship continue to grow and that we can always be there for each other.
To Givi: Wow us 2 Gemini's have a lot more in common than I ever imagined. It's interesting how little I saw of you at Emory, but how close I think we have become. At least in terms of certain personal stresses in our lives. I'm glad we are on the same level when it comes to dealing with people. Whether it be friends, loved ones, etc. We have a very similar approach and moral fiber when it comes to those situations and it's good to know I am not alone in feeling the way I do about certain things. Thank you. Hopefully we will actually be able to reconnect either vocally or both vocally and visually one day.

To Igor: I really don't know if you can grasp just how much your trip to Jax with Travis meant to me. Six Flags was awesome and I was glad you were able to come with us. It really wouldn't have been as much fun without you! So were other random outings I was on with you guys, but you coming to Jax was unexpected and total icing on the cake! Thanks Igor! Even though your words are few, your smiles are plentiful and I hope I can keep them in my life for years to come!
To Rico: I really really want to see that Georgian dance imitation of you! Someone please send me the link ASAP! But real talk: Actually that's the best thing about you Rico, any random convo that takes place with you is always so deep and memorable. I don't care what others may say about you, we all have our flaws. Some more than others. But you Rico are a very intelligent young man. You have a lot to say and while many may not agree with all of it or any of it, I think everyone needs to have a few chats with you before they judge. I just hope I get the chance to have some more chats like that with you. Whether the chat be on books, politics or TV shows it's always enjoyable and always brings a smile to my face :) Thank you.

To Jenelle: It's very interesting how our friendship has taken root through the last semester and through AIM. I just want to say Thank You for all of your support and encouragement. It really means a lot to me. If I ever get too annoying you can just tell me to hush. LOL. Congrats on your acceptances and kick some pharm school butt next year! Keep on keeping in touch and hopefully when I have more essays to write in the future you can try to keep me on track!
And to cap this off, I want to share a Girl Scout song with all of you. This summarizes everything I might want to say to all of my WTF, those bloggers mentioned above as well as other wonderful people like Paulee', Milla, Rho, Ashley, Janel, Connesia, Sarah...I didn't forget about you, I LOVE YOU!
This is for ALL of you!

In the heart of dear old Emory
Where the sun doth shine,
That is where our hearts are turning
’Round old Emory’s shrine.
We will ever sing thy praises,
Sons and daughters true.
Hail we now our Alma Mater,
Hail the Gold and Blue!
Tho’ the years around us gather,
Crowned with love and cheer,
Still the memory of Old Emory
Grows to us more dear.
We will ever sing thy praises,
Sons and daughters true.
Hail we now our Alma Mater,
Hail the Gold and Blue!

~And for my beloved bloggers, I have a few words~

To Travis: Thank you for being there for me through the years. Orgo helped our bond become stronger and I really couldn't have done it without you. Our friendship has had so many benefits from advice giving to keeping us on track towards our goals. I hope it continues to blossom. You know I am here for you no matter what it is. A complaint, a question, a helping hand, an ear to listen. Whatever, I am here. [Just don't go tryin to steal your mentee just because your all frat brothers and what not now :P hehe. LOL]

Make New Friends
Make new friends,
but keep the old.
One is silver,
the other is gold.
Make new friends,
but keep the old.
One is silver,
the other is gold.
A circle is round,
it has no end.
That's how long,
I will be your friend.
A fire burns bright,
it warms the heart.
We've been friends,
from the very start.
You have one hand,
I have the other.
Put them together,
We have each other.
Silver is precious,
Gold is too.
I am precious,
and so are you.
You help me,
and I'll help you
and together
we will see it through.
The sky is blue
The Earth is green
I can help
to keep it clean
Across the land
Across the sea
Friends forever
We will always be

Where the sun doth shine,
That is where our hearts are turning

This is how my last two days went by :)
I loved this pic.
I went back to work today. Getting up in the morning was harder than I thought but I got up eventually. Everyone treated me back well. Asked me about the new year celebrations. It was cool. I didn't really have a lot to do... just a few things I took care of. Tomorrow will be a bit harder in that sense. Got more to do.
I got a toothache later today, it became unbearable so I went straight to the dentist once I got off work. Some people are so scared of going to the dentist. It's good I'm not one of them or I'd panic today. Only thing that scares me is the bill though. That thing is scary.
I've just finished packing, I'm staying in the new apartment starting tomorrow! I'm excited. I don't have internet there so I'll do the daily at work or from this apt. With no internet I'll do more things around the house, get everything in place and then I'll call the ISP.

The Uncut

Happy New Year to everyone! I'm not sure where I left off or should begin? Well, school is back in session and it seems as though the break needed to be much longer.
Let's start with my outlook in 2010:
- Expect less & give more (self-explanatory)
- Practice good health....meaning take care of myself both mentally & physically
- Do things I never imagined that I would imagine
- Bring you along for the ride
In the past week or so, I really have been able to see just who are the most important in my life and.....they are all great people who I know I can count on to be there for me. Being in med school is far from a solo journy (at least my own so far) & knowing who is there for you is vital. My family was in good spirits over the holiday although all is not perfect. I sat at the "old folks" table and held my own as we discussed everything from healthcare reform to the criminal justice system.
I came out of the holidays with a few goodies.....mostly stuff to wear, which I need so that I look professional around here. I applied Yaz's advice and gave a gift w/o expecting anything back....it felt good. Plus, it felt even better when they actually got me a gift as well. Yaz....your thoughts are vital. I am really proud when I think of how long I've know you...our friendship is getting old & I see nothing wrong with that.
The trip to MIA didn't go as planned.....or was it ever really planned? Don't blame TRIVI. I suggest we look to make this summer all about going to visit friends. Anyway, it looks as though Geden enjoyed himself. I think he could enjoy himself even in a room by himself (hmm, was that a compliment or joke?). I uploaded some pics on FB from our post-test holiday get together. It was good and hosted by a fellow classmate. I learned that I like eggnog.
I chatted w/ Igor yesterday. Offered to call or him call me but he gave me the "my phone is about to die"....damn
:-) I am missed right now
p.s. I need a new pic for this post series
the Hidden Daily

... and I'm back.
I hope you had a good time during the break, celebrating Christmas, new years... all of it, some of it or none of it at all.
I had a great time on new years eve.
First of all, I got a new laptop which is very empty right now since I haven't taken my old one to the shop so that I can transfer files from there. I hope my experience with this one will be better and more productive.
So 31st started with me going to work, just to wish everyone a happy new year, drink some champagne and that's it. Then we went to the store to get a laptop. Actually I was just going to look at the options but this one was a good deal so... here are I am.
Than I did some random stuff, just waiting for midnight, wishing people a happy new year. My friend came over and we met new year together with my family. He then left, and I waited for my other friend who's been the first person to visit me every year for a few years already. He came over, we sat at a table for a few minutes, saying a toast. Then two of us took of to visit our friends at there apartment. It was very good.
After that I went to this bar/club and spent the most of the night there, ended up in someone's apartment for a bit around morning. Things are a little blurry at this point. but I had a great time. I'm tagged in the pictures on FB, that was the night.
January 1st (after I woke up) was about family for the most part. I visited my grandma, she was feeling alright, was happy to see me. (this is her cat that got very comfortable in my lap)

I wentover to my friends for a little while and that was it.
On Saturday, my classmates and I decided to meet up. Not all of us were present and that was good actually. Only those of us who actually keep in touch with each other were there. I haven't seen one of my friends since graduation. (we're friends from college too) it was great to see her. The thing is I don't remember much from that night. I had too much to drink :(. I felt horrible the next day, which is yesterday. People sent me some pictures and told me stuff so that I could remember something but I don't. I got very sick that nigh/morning.
This is when I stop messing with alcohol, it's really not worth it. :|
I stayed home today, didn't got to work. I'll be back in full effect tomorrow.
And I'm gonna actually move this week. I'll stay in the new apartment.
