It is really difficult to see everyone else's life move forward while yours is either stagnant or in extreme slow-mo. And as time keeps moving it feels as though more and more is passing you by. Your sitting, waiting, watching others accomplish all sorts of things, take steps or giant leaps towards their goals. You on the other hand are trying to run up a down escalator.
The down escalator keeps on moving...
Faster and faster and faster it goes.
Or is that just you getting tired and slowing down?
Who knows?
All you know is you are dead tired.
All you want to do is rest.
Why not just ride the down escalator down?

This is EXACTLY how I feel--I think we look at riding the down escalator down as somehow settling--for some reason we believe if we go with the natural progression of things, we're failing. The truth is progression really is just making the conscious effort to stay in tune with your life and your goals and not get overwhelmed. Take little steps and achieve small things first. After that, you're literally an opportunity away for reaching your BIG goals.
Rest when you need to, but keep striving.
